![]() This recipe is decedent and indulgent while remaining simple and elegant. We want just enough chocolate to make the fudge rich but not so much that it hardens the condensed milk. The simplicity is what makes it so sophisticated. Creamy vanilla ice cream with delicate swirls of chocolate sauce. The reason I used less chocolate is because we don’t want the fudge to set hard in the freezer. Chocolate and vanilla team up to bring you a winning combination. I adapted the chocolate fudge recipe so it uses less chocolate and no vanilla. Once you have added the chocolate its time to make the fudge. You could even cheat and break up a few Flakes instead of grating chocolate. I used half milk chocolate and half dark chocolate. You can use any type of chocolate you like. To make this you will make the simple no churn vanilla ice cream and grate some chocolate. So the Chocolate Fudge Swirl Ice Cream was born. Fudge swirl through the ice cream! The simple three ingredient chocolate fudge could be the ticket needed to make the ice cream super indulgent. I mean chocolate shavings is cool and all but I wanted indulgence! I then began to think of my Peanut Butter Chocolate Layer Fudge, (I know what you’re thinking and the answer is yes, I do constantly think and dream of food), and then it hit me. I then began to wonder what else I could do to make the ice cream seem more exciting. So I began to wonder what chocolate shavings would be like, so I wrote the idea down. Some people love that kind of texture, I do not. Best of all, these ice cream cups are sprinkled with M&MS Minis. I don’t particularly like chocolate chips in my ice cream as I hate coming across the hard texture in among the creaminess of the ice cream. These ice cream cups are made with creamy, vanilla ice cream and a rich chocolate swirl. It first began with the chocolate shavings throughout the ice cream. This recipe idea came to me as I was watching TV. I wanted unusual, over the top delicious, oh so decedent and indulgent. When I was coming up with flavours and recipes for ice cream week, I knew I didn’t want the typical vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate, strawberry, etc. This has got to be one of my, if not my favourite ice cream flavour combinations I have ever eaten! Using the simple no churn vanilla ice cream from the beginning of the week but with the addition of shaved chocolate and a rich and gooey chocolate fudge sauce rippled right through the ice cream. ![]() ![]() Today’s recipe is Chocolate Fudge Swirl Ice Cream.
